What is Dragon Dreaming?
The secret for project development
This project has been designed to offer a 8-day training called ''Dragon Dreaming'' which enabled youth workers and young people to learn and experience a participative and creative technique of project design and entrepreneurship. The training linked each theoretical lesson to practical teamwork in order to define together the key areas necessary to start writing a sustainable project and how to involve and motivate participants throughout the duration of the project. This project has been funded by European Commission under Erasmus+ Programme.

What is Erasmus+ ?
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport. Erasmus+ aims to modernise education, training and youth work across Europe. It is open to education, training, youth and sport organisations across all sectors of lifelong learning, including school education, further and higher education, adult education and the youth sector. It offers exciting opportunities for European Union participants to then study, work, volunteer, teach and train abroad in Europe.

About the Project
With this project, our goal was to make it easier for young people to overcome the challenges they face when starting and carrying out their projects. We also wanted to boost European entrepreneurship, which is really important for Europe's economy to grow.
We chose the Dragon Dreaming method because it's an innovative way to gather smart ideas and ways of thinking. It gives us all sorts of handy and useful tools, plus activities to help us be more creative, work together better, set clear goals, figure out how to start things, and spot where we might need help. All of this is super useful for creating projects that are open to everyone and really mean something.
This method is like a big toolkit that shows individuals and groups how to turn their dreams into real projects that actually work and stick around. It's even good for getting young people who might not be very excited or might feel left out involved, and it can make their job opportunities better too.
Project’s specific objectives were:
1. To discover and be educated about an innovative method to plan sustainable and creative projects, in a collaborative way.
2. To learn innovative mechanisms and tools that motivate youngsters (specially those at disadvantage) to have an active participation and improve their employability.
The Dragon Dreaming experts shared diverse theories, tips, and strategies to enhance the impact of our daily youth engagement efforts. These hands-on tools provided practical experience to our youth workers and trainers during the course, enabling them to effectively apply them when engaging with young people directly.

The main activity of the project was a course of the Dragon Dreaming Method. Each partner organization designated two participants, totaling 24 individuals, from their interested pool of youth workers to partake in the course. The main beneficiaries of the training course, which focused on the Dragon Dreaming Method, were the youth workers from the partner entities. These individuals were chosen through an open and public process. This group holds strategic significance as they directly influence young people through their daily interactions, making them both immediate benefactors and multipliers of the training's impact.
The newly acquired skills, attitudes, and knowledge from the course are anticipated to aid youth workers in facilitating the personal, social, and educational growth of young people. Additionally, these tools will foster greater engagement and empowerment among the youth, achieved through informal education and leisure strategies.
Our participant selection criteria were carefully established to align with the course's subject and nature. This ensured that chosen participants were well-suited for the project's activities. The criteria and envisioned profile included:
Active Youth Work: Participants were expected to be actively involved in youth work.
English Proficiency: Adequate English skills were required for comprehending the training content and effective communication with fellow participants and facilitators.
Motivation: Participants should display enthusiasm for engaging in an international project, interacting with individuals from diverse perspectives and cultures, and coexisting with them during the training.
Collaboration: Active participation and willingness to collaborate in course activities were essential.
Youth Work Experience: Participants were required to possess experience in youth work and a future commitment to furthering their involvement and transferring the newfound knowledge.
International Engagement: Participants should be capable of solidifying international connections and collaborative efforts with other entities, offering ongoing updates and network expansion opportunities.
